My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brody Ashton, and Jodi Meadows

My Lady Jane by  Cynthia Hand, Brody Ashton, and Jodi Meadows

Edward is the King of England. Sixteen year old jane has to marry Gifford to secure a line of succession, making Jane the queen when Edward dies. But a royal plot is afoot, and nine days after becoming queen, Jane loses her head -- literally -- at least that’s the true history. This hilarious and action-packed novel is not a true history. Its three authors take history for a fun ride. Rather than the Protestants versus Catholics that we see in the history books, here it’s humans versus Ethians (people who turn into animals). Gifford, the man Jane is forced to marry, turns out to be a horse by day. All day. There’s action, there are daring escapes, there are fights with giant bears. There is intrigue, treasonous plots against the crown, and there’s romance with some kissing parts later in the book. Bottom line, you’ll never know how much fun British history can be until you meet My Lady Jane.
