Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart
The first thing to know about Genuine Fraud is you pretty much get the ending of the story up front, and each successive chapter takes you back one step in the story.
Right off the bat we meet Jule, an athletic teen who is lounging at a ritzy resort in Mexico but clearly on the run and hiding from something. Jule's best friend Imogen has committed suicide and left Jule with a fortune. But as Jule escapes someone who is chasing her, we as readers begin to realize the story isn't quite adding up. So we take a step back in the story, and some things are explained, but others don't quite add up. E. Lockhart has essentially created a murder mystery that is told in reverse, and you'll be flipping pages to see not how this turns out -- but how it all began.
