Book Review: Six Months Later by Natalie Richards

40) Six Months Later by Natalie Richards
Chloe isn't the most motivated student. She nods off in study hall, then wakes up six months later to find her life is rather different than it was seemingly moments before. Her best friend won't talk to her.  Yet she's more popular than she's ever been, and Chloe finds there are sparks flying between her and bad-boy Adam. Her super-hot new boyfriend, on the other hand, has her more than a little spooked by his possessive behavior. And most surprisingly of all, Chloe's grades have skyrocketed and her SAT score was nearly perfect. Chloe questions what happened in those six months, and readers will, too. Author Natalie Richards keeps the readers guessing about how all these changes came about. The hook that's too good to resist is: what happened? And when you get the sense of what happened, the bigger questions of how? and who did this? keep the pages turning. The resolution is easy enough to believe for students enmeshed in a culture of high-stakes testing.

Teen readers looking for a great mystery that doesn't involve a murder will like this one.
