Memoirs of a teenage amnesiac by gabrielle zevin

Naomi Porter, a high school yearbook student, gets a fresh look at her life after she falls down the school steps and, as a result, can't remember a thing since the sixth grade.  Everything is a surprise-- who her boyfriend is, that her parents are divorced, who she has chosen as friends.  Zevin's light writing style makes this novel both humorous and sublime as Naomi realizes the people she keeps as friends aren't all that nice-- and the people she begins to like she has offended in the past.  Yearbook kids and student journalists aren't the only ones who will like this novel, which was a 2009-2010 Misssouri Gateway Readers nominee.
